Hi, my name is Sarah

I'm an experienced Pilates, Personal Trainer, and Pain management specialist based in York. I have over 20 years in the fitness industry and have taught Boot Camp, studio cycling, kettlebells, boxing, aerobics, strength training, and running.

I’m a qualified Advanced Personal Trainer and Pilates specialist at levels three and four. I am also a specialist in pre and post-natal fitness/Pilates, diastasis correction, sports conditioning, and posture correction, which is ideal for helping people with pain management or muscular imbalances.

I’m a Mother, so understand what it’s like to have a busy life and the need to offer flexibility with fitness and training. I have a private studio at my home in York where I teach one-to-one fitness sessions, which is great for people who have babies or people who lack confidence in public gyms.

I became a specialist in Pilates and pain management due to a back injury which caused me to have degenerative disc disease and scars on each hip. I was told by Doctors that I would need surgery on my back but I was not happy about this and thought there must be another way. That’s why I trained in Pilates and pain management. I currently have full flexibility and I’m pain-free due to my skills, passion, and determination to correct my own body. With my experience and knowledge, I help people to become pain-free/manage their pain, and achieve results with fitness, sports conditioning, weights, and specific exercises that are individually tailored to you and your needs.

I help people to get real results and accomplish their goals, whatever their challenges are, which include Sports injuries, Knee, Shoulder, Back, and Hip problems, Post-natal fitness, and Pre/post-operation support.

I will perform a posture assessment, to find imbalances which include correction through releasing tight muscles and activating underworking muscles, followed by a prescription of exercises for you to do at home. People I've worked with, through pain management have moved onto big goals of running marathons, and open swims. There’s no limit. Check out my Google reviews!

I write my Pilates programs with structure, taking into consideration people's needs, weaknesses, and strengths and they may be tweaked depending on what people tell me on the day. 

We work on a six-week basis of programmed exercises, so you are always progressing. I offer Modifications and progressions for each class no matter what level you are at, or what problem you may have, so you always feel you are looked after, offering confidence with moves and trust within me.
