Hi, my name is Sarah

I'm an experienced Pilates, Personal Trainer, and Pain management specialist based in York. I have over 20 years in the fitness industry and have taught Boot Camp, studio cycling, kettle bells, boxing, aerobics and strength training, running.

I’m a qualified Personal Trainer at levels three and four and Advanced Pilates specialist at levels three and four. I am also a specialist in pre and post-natal fitness, Pilates, diastis correction, sports and conditioning, and posture correction, which is ideal for helping people with pain management or muscular imbalances.

I’m a mother of four children so understand what it’s like to have a busy life and the need to offer flexibility with fitness and training. I have a private studio at my home in York where I teach one-to-one fitness sessions, which is great for people that have babies or people who lack the confidence in public gyms.

I became a specialist in Pilates and pain management due to back injury which caused me to have degenerative disc disease and scars on each hip. I was told by Doctors that I would need surgery on my back but I was not happy about this and thought there must be another way. That’s why I trained in Pilates and pain management. I currently have full flexibility and I’m pain-free due to my skills passion and determination to correct my own body. With my experience and knowledge I help people to become pain-free/manage their pain and achieve results with fitness, sports and conditioning, weights and specific exercises that are individually tailoreds to you.

I help people to get real results and accomplish their goals. I help people with whatever their challenges are ; sports injuries, knee, shoulder or back problems, fitness after having a baby, posture assessment, to find imbalances which includes correction. Most people ive worked with, through pain management have moved onto big goals of running marathons or open swims. There’s no limit!

I currently have community Pilates classes in York, with Covid-19 regulations in place, as safety of the people come first.

I write my pilates programmes taking into consideration of peoples needs, weaknesses and strengths. We work on a six week basis of programmed exercises, so you are always progressing as quickly as possible. I offer Modifications and progressions for each class no matter what level you are at, so you always feel you are looked after, offering confidence with moves and trust within me.
